AIO Healing Newsletter Issue No. 20

Kia Ora Whanau

Are you back into the swing of things again after the holidays and living life as though there is no tomorrow? I certainly am and sometimes I feel like a bumble bee. I saw lots of them yesterday after the rain. Scientifically the bumble bee's wings are too small to carry the weight of its body but it doesn't know that and flies anyway. On the other hand, the Monarch butterfly has one day to live once it metamorphosis from its cocoon. Does it look like it is stressed out and worrying about how its going to get everything done in one day? This month we will look at stress and ways of coping with it. Our behaviour and reactions to situations in life are based on our belief systems. Let's look at how we can discover what they are and how we can change them to work for us. Keep reading for some simple rongoa hints to keep you keeping on. Atarangi Muru is having another workshop in Auckland . Read on for more info.

I live in the country again now and return from work to the mandelic sounds of Tane, Tawhirimatea, Haumietiketike and Papatuanuku. All the busy-ness in my life just melts and I walk around with a silly smile on my face. Just another day for you and me in paradise. If we happen to believe that the pressures of life are difficult and can cause us stress then we will lead a stressful life indeed. To create a stress less retreat then simply close your eyes, breath deeply and visualise the perfect paradise in your minds eye. It will have a dual effect where you can retreat to it whenever you shut your eyes with immeasurable results to you holistically and will serve to become a manifestation of your thoughts.

Human thought is powerful and whatever we continue to think about, we will manifest. The book 'The Secret,' bought for me by one of my twin flames, makes us aware of what we really are thinking about. Often we can create the same situations in life over and over again. The experiences we've had in our life time, preprograms the destiny of our lives. Until we realise that if we do the same thing over and over again, we will continue to get the same outcome. In order to bring about change, we need to go back and discover what the belief is so we can effect change. Sometimes we adopt these beliefs as a child and unconsciously, we will work obediently in automatic mode to choose the same path and get on the same road again. Sound familiar for you? Louise Hay has a wonderful book 'You Can Heal You Life' which outlines the use of positive affirmations to counteract limiting belief systems. Another option is to do an invento ry about your beliefs i.e relationships, goals, eating and drinking habits, lovers, jobs, children,... etc. Record the first experience that comes to mind about that belief. Now, re-write a more positive belief that counteracts that old belief and say it aloud to program your mind and body. Write it in big letters and put it on the wall. Say it aloud in the mirror every day to reinforce it to YOURSELF. So simple but it works!

Body cleanses are really important to keep your body working well and takes preventative measures that you won't suffer long term illnesses and suffer in your old age. Detoxing the body gives it a rest from working 24/7. It gets a chance to restore and re-balance itself. There are liver cleanses, colon cleanses, kidney cleanses. Health shops sell body cleanse kits but some of them are expensive. Boiled kawakawa leaves gives the kidneys and liver a cleanse. Flax root cleans you out but it's harsh on the body. Check out our articles section on colon cleansing on our site for a kinder alternative. The late Te Awhina recommended Mamaku as being able to eat the sugar up for Diabetes in the body within 1 - 7 days. Matipo rongoa can bring high blood pressure down in 1 minute and can take the pain away for Angina. The juice of boiled dock leaf roots can help with womens problems with menstrual bleeding. Did you know karengo is a natural penicillin? I u se dried karengo from the chinese shop and put it in soups. The late Hohepa Kereopa claimed heated sea salt can draw out old pain. Sea salt is also good for cramps caused by dehydration. Drink water and eat sea salt daily to keep your body well especially after strenuous exercise. Email me if you want instructions for the rongoa.
