Welcome to those of you who are from cultures all around the world.  Nga mihi ki a koutou katoa. Those of us from New Zealand welcome you to this website. Taking good care of yourself and loving your holistic  being is one of the most important things you will ever have to do in your lifetime. YOU are the most important asset in your life. Healing begins with the healer within.  Healing our universe and bringing peace to the world starts with none other than your divine self.

Maori, the indigenous people of New Zealand are amongst the highest health statistics in the world and yet have unique healing theories that go back to the beginnings of time. The military outlawing of Maori spirituality and healing came into effect with the enforcement of christianity in New Zealand in the early 1900's.  The Tohunga Suppresion Act stayed in force for over 60 years and the decline in Maori health and spirituality since then, has had dire effects on the cultural, spiritual, mental, physical and psycological well being of the indigneous people of this land.  The public health system in New Zealand continues to refuse the validity of traditional Maori healing services because there is no scientific evidence for spiritual phenomena.  Instead, Maori are contracted to provide the same services as the western services but with brown faces even though the current systems in place are not working for the Maori people.  The health of Maori is in a serious decline and the statistics have been predicted to rise.  We can make a change in these statistics, and effect healing of our families and the univesrse by first healing the healer within.

E tu Mana Wahine, for you are the main leaders of the families in New Zealand; responsible for the health and wellbeing of yourselves and your family. You will find a range of interesting body cleanses and information on "INFO & ARTICLES' that offer Health Education about Māori healing.  The foods we eat can make a huge difference to our health and the way we act and feel.  Regular exercise. Nuruturing the spirit and linking in with the natural ancestors that surround us and the reconnection with our cultural whakapapa and ritual practices.

Water is a vital part of cleansing these poisons from the body so that we can feel alive and vibrant. The body needs clean, fresh water daily to cleanse impurities. Bathing in the sea has incredible effects on our holistic wellbeing serving to cleanse, rejuvenute and negate negative energies.  What we drink affects the cleansing of our physical body. Coffee and tea do not clean the body.  Plain water H2O does. A good comparison is washing todays dishes with yesterdays dish water. Would you do it to your dishes.  Then why do it to your body.  Drink at least 2 litres of water per day so it can clean itself. Water also acts as a cushion in between the bones. Without it, bone rubs against bone and causes damage.

The elimination of food is just as important as what food we eat. If we don't pay any attention to body cleanses and colon cleanses then the poisons and toxins return into the body and as a result, we can become unwell and toxic.  Oiling up the body with cold pressed oils can feed our bones. As we get older our gones get dry and brittle. Coconut oil is a superfood and works wonders with bones, joints, muscles and organs.

Regular bodywork and healing therapies can be deeply soothing and milks the body of  poisons. Massage can help let go of emotional experiences as well as create the right combination of natural medicines that the body needs. Everything you need to be well is inside of you.

I hope you will enjoy the articles shared in this website. The past archives have copies of our monthly newsletters which have a number of healing hints and tips to maintaining holistic wellness.

"Kahuranaki te Maunga,Poukawa te awa,
Ngai te Whatuiapiti te iwi

Te Hapuku Ika Nui o Te Moana Te Tangata
Haere koe i mua i te tuara o Te Hapuku,
Kia kai koe nga kai whakairo i te rangi."

Kahuranaki is our meeting house

Go forth under the mantle of Te Hapuku and you will eat of the food of the Gods"

Introduction

In the Māori culture, many believe that we are spiritual beings having an earthly experience with the ability to use the powers of nature to heal our selves, our whanau, our iwi, the wider communities and even our Mother Earth - Papatuanuku. It is absolutely magical aligning ourselves with the Ancestors, the ancient wisdom, the energies of the elements, the earth, the sky, the moon, the stars, the kohatu - stones, the winds, the waters, the animals and the birds. By learning to connect with the divine source, one can open the senses to listen to Te Reo -- 'the voices of nature.'Our teachings are from the wisdom of the Māori people who originally migrated by waka from Hawaikinui. Many of these healing systems were preserved orally through the generations by ancient Māori Tohunga -- 'High Priest/Priestess', and Tohuna -- 'the keepers of the secrets.'Māori healing theories and practices are used to enhance your health and embrace your holistic well being. We facilitate the discovery and mastery of oneness with the entire universe. Te Oomai Reia is an ancient clearing work used to release energies and cellular memories from the body.We focus on the values of the 'Tohunga' (the Healer within) to shape and develop new values for our work. Those who work in healing fields understand the importance of caring for the self on a holistic level.

He Mahi
I use a range of healing and bodywork modalities but specialise in traditional Māori healing - Te Oomai Reia. These ancient practices clear, release and re-energise one's entire being. Many have found these sessions to mark the beginning of a new life emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. Some have made life changing shifts within just one session.
